The sad part is that Thaksin's only real shortcoming is that he sucks in public communication - I mean, seriously, it hurts thinking that he actually believes that ANYONE (except some Isaan farmers) will believe and accept something like that astrology 'explanation'.
Ditto with his 'handling' of the situation of the deaths in the south, blaming it on them being weak from Ramadam. Arrrrghhhh!
On the other hand, I'd think his government must be pretty safe from any alleged coup, considering that Hermie is announcing it as a fait accomplit. 
Seriously, he's just really stupid when it comes to public statements, and it's not like he'll accept a 'wrangler ( "read: public relations consultant).
