Trying to show a bit of tact, just in case it was a sensitive issue, but since it is in the Bangkok Post this morning then it's old news.
My mate wandered past the body in soi 20 yesterday morning and his maid told him that a farang had murdered his wife.

Australian says he killed wife
An Australian man allegedly pounded his Canadian wife to death with a hammer before dumping her body in the Sukhumvit area. The blood-stained body of Barbara Lynn McLeod, 61, a Canadian national, was found in a black plastic bag left behind a building on Sukhumvit Soi 20 around 8am yesterday.
Police said Stewart Keith McLeod, 44, an Australian national and husband of the victim, looked suspicious during questioning. They said Mr McLeod later confessed that he had hit his wife with a hammer during a bitter quarrel.
Before the victim's body was found, Mr McLeod yesterday tried to evade suspicion by pretending to file a complaint with police asking them to help search for his wife. He said Mrs McLeod had left their rented house in Sukhumvit Soi 20 to buy goods at a convenience store in a nearby hotel at 10pm. She had not returned or called him.
During questioning, police received a citizen's report that a dead body had been found at Sukhumvit Soi 20. Mr McLeod was taken to the scene.
Police became suspicious when Mr McLeod suddenly opened the bag and touched the head of the victim. Police searched his house and found blood stains in his bedroom, on the floor and on the stairs.
Facing such compelling evidence against him, Mr McLeod confessed to the murder and took police to fetch the hammer, which was hidden in his luggage. A bed sheet with blood stains was also found in the bags.
