Christoff Hohenlohe, the son of Ira von Fürstenberg and Alfonso, Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (and here we are talking of 2 of the highest level of nobility), died in misterious circumstances on 7th of August 2006 in a jail in Bangkok (IDC?)....he was few days in overstay and changed the stamp by himself (very stooopid but understandable given the habit of being allowed to do anything)...mother came and paid 12,00USD to the Immigration Police....and they gave her back a dead body.......
Italian Embassy and other important instutitions are questioning now the Thai goverment about this death...
Incredible thing: not a word to be fund in any English/Thai newspaper or websites....! Scary shit!

Being from one of those MONOLOPY countries he should have kept his "Get Out of Jail Free" Card.
One jumps the conclusion that there must have been some foul play. I sure there is another side to the story.
Fat ass [take a look at the pics] comes to BKK to lose weight (OK probably fasts) or some equally shocking to the body. [No problem with that]
First off he should have had a round trip ticket (1st strike)
Second, goes to get on a flight and cannot, but then books another flight and realises that he will overstay. Now at that point he could have done one of two things.
1. Try to get an extension at immigration
2. Pay the overstay fee at the airport when he leaves.
Now the article suggests that this hassle may make him miss his next flight. Well Doh do you think he could arrive at the airport a little earlier to handle this item? (2nd Strike)
So then he tries to fix one wrong with another wrong by forging the date. What an idiot. (3rd strike and you are out) They would have his date of entry in the computer and see it when they enter his passport.
I sure he gave the Immigration officers some lip like "Do you know that I am the Prince of Liechtenstein"
For that they threw him in the slammer. Now being a Thai prison with no air con, between the cool rainy nights and hot days probably another shock to the system and he has a heart attack or something.
End of Story.
He should have spent his time enjoying the fine Italian eateries here in BKK.

These A-ris-to-cats were raised in specialized conditions ThaidUp and you are not being fair to expect one of them to comprehend the common ahem common sense functioning of the world we now inhabit. No one to raise the spoon to his mouth in the cell, of course he is at a brutal disadvantage. Alas, cruel world. In another subject, if you have any little doilies or ottomans or bonetoothbrushes laying around, hold on to them--antiques will be worth something someday as a collector's item.

I hope this stupid tragedy serves to warn all the "tough" guys on the Forum that if you want to f*** with Thai law (or any law, especially in a country other than your own) then PREPARE to get f***ed! And it really doesn't matter much sometimes who the hell you (think you) are.
