FIGHTING FOR THAI BAR GIRLS’ LABOUR RIGHTS
Human rights activists are fighting for the labour rights of women working in Thailand’s bars and nightclubs. The activists say these workers, believed to number around 300,000, are often not paid in full, work in hazardous conditions and have few channels of redress. Concerns over their safety have risen since a fire at a disco in the beach resort town of Pattaya killed eight employees in May. — AFP

they have a hooker's Union in the Nederlands that seems to be doing just fine
but it's mostly to protect them from mistreatment such as beatings and underpayment
not sure if they have a retirement fund
