Greetings,
for the last couple of days I haven't been able to access You Tube (im in bangkok) and this morning I even recieved a message to say that it has been blocked.
anyone else had this problem?

Whoever did that video was deliberately trying to be offensive, and the jackass responsible most likely has little knowledge, less appreciation, and no respect for Thai culture. It's not going to help the dumbass in jail - it's just going to fan the flames...
Though not a fan of monarchy in general, nor of censorship, I side with the Thai's. The present king is due every bit of respect given...

Odd that YouTube will not comply with a request to have the video removed. It's one thing if, say, DG wrote to them over being offended because of a tugboat video, but if a country's official contacts you regarding a case of lèse majesté, it would not appear to be an impossible feat to remove such a video - particularly if it is quite obvious that it was made by a jackass in order to be a jackass.
Gotta admit, while I'm not in favor of censorship, I do side with the Thai authorities in that case.
Shouldn't be too difficult to track down the person behind it.
