I must agree to a point as the new government was worse to us farangs than thaksin was, but he is still a corrupt sob....
I just wish chok dee to new government and hope they turn things around....hopefully it wont be more of thai/chinese rak thai/chinese....
start with some kind of education loans for the poor...

Complete silence of the Junta since yesterday evening
Does not sound good to me:
PPP will let Thaksin come back; how can the Junta accept this after chasing him for months?
If the Juta takes the risk to cancel the elections, it would lead to a potential huge mess in the country.

AHHHH,,,bit premature on this,,PPP got the MOST seats but NOT enough to form Government.
The 3rd and 4th most seat winners have joined, so they together could form government with EITHER the PPP or the Democratic Party.SO,in fact, the PPP "could find itself in opposition rather than governemnt.

Getting that most regular Thais want Taskin back (ok, at least the bar girls). Mentality being he'll control the baht rate, getting it back up to 40 per U.S. Dollar.
I have no idea, but since the coup the dollar to baht rate as significantly declined. Yes, the dollar is weak world wide...........but I'm a dreamer!!!!
