well, most of you already know it, but it's not been posted about yet

here's the part that most of you will be concerned about
I was in an establishment yesterday where the proprietor was told by the police they'd need to close all entertainment venues for 15 days of mourning
flags at half-mast and everyone is wearing black
I have not seen what's going on today, but I do know that the entertainment venues were still open last night

I went out to NEP at lunch today and see that all is normal, just that all the BGs are wearing black
it was nice to see the Arab community nearby also in mourning, either men in white or women in all black
afterwards I had myself a Turkish
coffee that is, along with a nice beef schwarma with hummus

Dollhouse and Sheba's on Cowboy were going on as normal last (Saturday) evening. Sheba's crew was looking esp. good, IMHO, so I didn't get any farther in my investigations.

Any indications on how the cremation ceremonies will impact the Bangkok nightlife in November?
Do you think they will close down the go-go's, etc. the whole period, November 14 -19?

It's important for anyone making vacation plans to know if that week should be avoided.
