But world IT revolution would not have been possible without India. It was in the 90s when India opened up and at the same time World IT revolution took a quantum jump.
Todays' top IT companies cannot make any technological progress without India. Ask Bill Gates, John Chambers, Jeff Bezos, Eric Schmidt, Larr Ellison, etc.
Yes it was started as a low cost outsourcing but now Indian outsourcing companies ask for 80% of the existing US rates. So it is no more a cheap labor. It is the talent.
I will not go into the Phds and Research done in the US universities by Indian and volumes of published papers in peer review journals. Not to mention the recent explosions of US patents filed by Indian.
