Can anyone tell me how many posts I need to get a second dot? I feel inadequate with only one dot under my name. Not that I'll ever write 500 posts (until I go and return and write many, many FR's), but a little goal along the way would help.

If only you knew how much I like that idea. Unfortunately, traveling to LOS from Eastern North America takes a bucketload of shinola and a fair amount of time. Just to compare - it's only 1/3 the price and less than half the time to travel to Amsterdam.
Have to actually produce something of value to afford the privilege of walking the sois looking for that perfect MP/Go-Go/Beer bar.
But I will keep reading and I will keep posting until that big bird comes to take me to the East!

It cost me exactly $107 for my roundtrip ticket from the east coast. (plus frequent flier miles)
More money for the girls......

The ticket may be 3 times the price, but hotels in Amsterdam are VERY expensive. LOS is a much better bang for the buck, unless you really need the coffeehouses and the 'shrooms.

The Amsterdam scene is cold and clinical, and the women are not that pretty.
I would rather spend 3 times as much money and get to sample Thailand. Or... I could go to Malawi and get a hottie all night for 5 bucks. Pity that aids is so rampant there

Guys, let us not get too caught up with number of pips and number of posts. This is just a function of the forum software. It bears no meaning to your experience in LOS nor measures your IQ. It means nothing! In time, that feature will be removed, so that we can concentrate on our BKK-LOS discussions. Lets focus our posts on BKK-LOS information exchange, rather than on getting higher post numbers or more pips beneath your nickname.
