I think I understand what the Asianet/True problems are. My guess is that it has to do with the configuration of some of the network infrastructure, specifically the NAT on some Router/Firewalls and the use of Web Caches in the infrastructure. The Web Caches are storing the cookies of users from this site and because of the NAT losing track of what cookie is associated with each PC. I think they could fix the problem by only caching download objects, or not caching cookies… Compy

I'd say the firewalls/routers are innocent here. To support the bandwidth they have to, they have to use high end stuff and products like checkpoint/ Cisco Pix, etc are all have stateful inspection and session tables. It's actually fairly hard to mis-configure them to the point where they cause this kind of problem.

The webcaches on the other hand are the likely culprit. They are serving pages regardless on who is logged in, as they don't really check which session belongs to which client. They seem to take a " lets just serve the page from cache anyway" approach. Some software uses the SID (session ID) as part of the URL string, which prevents this from happening, as the webcaches then see the pages as different url's and (usually) manage to stay in sync. Actualy here might be a fix that (maybe) could be used by BK, depending if Ikonboard supports it. Appending "&sid={sessionID from webserver} to all url's coming from BTF. Just a thought...

Caronte, if you read this. I tried to sent you an email. But it bounced as mail.com categorically refuses everything from a Thai ISP. Please can you sent me an alternative address by PM (I think PMs out are not a problem).

I have added that code to the messenger section, let's see how this works out. Do let me know if this eliminates the problems.
