I made this manual after noticing that a lot of newbies are a little lost with the functions of the board.I hope this smoothens Your use of this board.
I could not make it so linked as I wished, because most of the functions are protected for Members only.
Looking for info
On the top of the page You see "Last 25", You click it and You'll see this: http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/last25.cgi
There are all the sections from the board.
If You want to know about Hotels, Select "Hotel Issues", and You'll see this: http://bkkx.com/forum_listings/Hotel_Issues.html
If You want to buy something from Thailand and need info for it "Shopping" is the best place to check for info.
Then there is the old-fashioned footwork.
If You are looking for info about...let's say...certain bar from Pattaya, think where You might find the info.
Most logical is "Pattaya"-threads, if You do not find a whole thread, then run UTFSE in "Pattaya" only it saves time. If the bar is mentioned, "Search" will find the thread where it is.
Main idea is think the keywords.
Scroll down and click threads, You'll want to check.
"Newbies,click here and read before posting" on the main page also shows You the sections.
Below the Forum Listing are the "Last 25 posts", there You see what threads and topics are running hot.

Another item is Search Engine.
Click "Search" and You'll find Yourself in here: http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/search.cgi
Write down the keywords like Manhattan (for hotel Manhattan), cialis ( for chemichal re-charger) or whatever.
Then run the search.
Use these tools before starting a thread from Your question, You may get "UTFSE"-answer pretty quick, if You don't! 
Next to Last 25, You see "Latest posts". Like this: http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/latestposts.cgi
This gives You a chance to check posts made up to one week.
Meeting others and making plans
On the top You see the buttons Members Schedules and Meeting Members.
Schedules show You who is in town and when. Here: http://bangkoktonight.com/misc/members_schedule.gif
When You know Your schedule, send a PM to bkkz and tell times.
He will place them there.
In Meeting Members You can make contacts to those who have a matching schedule.

Make a post telling You'll be in and ask if anybody wants to hook up.
It's much more fun to roam around with these dudes than totally by Yourself, trust me. 
Communicating
Messenger is a device to send mail to other members.
You open it and log Yourself in by using Your handle and password.
Try it via sending a PM to Yourself, then You'll see how it works.
Talk is a real-time method of communicating.
It's protected by being visible only to those who are logged in. like a lot of other functions.
Write Your message in the box and press "Talk".
Others
Button "Active Users" shows You, who are online and their whereabouts on this board. http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/whosonline.cgi
Those funny faces, emoticons, can be found by clicking "Emoticons are enabled" when writing Your post.
You get a pictures and a codelist. If You want this , You hit : then write biggrin and hit : again. Then the result is .
Z forum is a Twilight Zone, which is ruled by Zmegma and there are no rules in there.

Changing Your avatar.
