Whenever posting a new thread, the proposed title is run through the search engine. Before final submission, the user must acknowledge the number of threads that matched in the search (count them and enter the number) into a text field.
That way, new threads such as "Sukhumvit Soi 1 Plaza" might get posted only every ten days, instead of every five. (wlog, all other threads).
It would be a prerequisite that the search engine be sped up, however. At the very least write a wrapper function that searches all the forums at once instead of doing the page-to-page and forum-to-forum type of search that's done now.
I'll admit that the search engine often returns a lot of superfluous results. A lot of them. Improving it would be helpful as well. (I won't hold my breath. )
