Not in bad mood. If so I would have 'flamed' you. Aside from the fact that the Help instructions are clear enough for most of us, there are threads that already exist that explain some fo the finer ticks.
UTFSE and do not make us repeat oursleves. Duplicate threads and postings cost BK money ya know...

just for the record all I get on the help page is page one with the abreviated letters such as lol for laughing out loud- I thought if I typed in the letters on emotions page I would get that picture but do not- im sorry china- went to Ivy League school in usa but I guess the ones in singapore are much much better-and that you have high paying job- can anyone else help as this genius is too full of himself-

Sorry, I do not know how to put a moving gif under your name but if you want just a picture go to the Avatar at the top of this board and click on it and a list of pictures will come up and you can pick one. Putting Emoticons in your text is pretty easy just click the Emoticons link and scroll down see which one you want and type it in to your post, that should work fine always does for me. Good Luck.   If you click on your profile as well you can add a name under you picture, [member title] and you can add some thing funny or whatever at the bottom of your posts.

You have to talk with BK (the admin) to get a new or unique picture setup. Static pictures and moving images are no different so whatever you have should work. Find what you want and make sure it's a reasonable size before you bug BK.

Not exactly correct sandontoes, I was UT Austin -78, I guess that Dr. Leibhovski was correct when he said that our educational experience was much better that that of the Ivy League schools.
The problem is that being educated in an Ivory Tower does not teach you real life or common sense.
So tell me Ivy League, how is it that everyone else figured out the emcons (not emotions) without starting a thread? And why is this in 'Anything Else' and not 'Newbie questions'....

Had a full scholarship to Villanova, dropped out after a year and a half. I have had Harvard, Princeton, and MIT grads work for me… Can't spell, type and barely speak English, but I do Ok anyways.
I quoted someone's post that was using them, found out how to embed hyperlinks in a post the same way.
