I don't know why you would take a bkk girl to pattaya?? Girls I've spoken to in bkk seem to look down on pattaya. Say you're going to Chiang Mai or Hua Hin and see the difference.
You may be right about the brown skin and I have read on here about such happenings in certain places in bkk.....
If I was you I would reschedule my plans, find a ptty girl and bring her to bkk if you want one girl for the duration!
Note: Must agree with CG - ultimately it will be up to the girl if she thinks she is worth more. I had a girl tell me she normally only goes LT for 2-2.5k but because she liked me she didn't argue with my 1.5 offer (That was a NEP babe). Might be true, might be BS - but made me feel good

Spot on Nick! Although there is some truth to what these girls say, I have met some real cheapos on this forum, honestly I don't know how they can look in the mirror. One guy likens his cheap spendings to "training" the girl to not expect so much $$$ - Tacky, very tacky...

The Cheap Charlies are the ones that keep the girls honest and the prices stay at a resonable rate. Does the girl have to go with the Cheap Charlies? NO however it is the cheap charlies that help us middle guys get the going rate somewhere between them and the high rollers.
Most of us I would assume are on a somewhat limited budget while on holiday and takeing the bus and or sky train instead of a taxi saves money and sometimes time to spend on other things. Also why spend to much money on a hotal room when alls you need is a bed to boom boom in and a shower to clean up in.
Yes these girls are very sly in how they get guys to prove there Not Cheap Charlie by talking about another guy being one. Its not there Money to tell you how you should be spending it. Theres plenty of girls that well go on the bus with you and be very happy doing it. Cheap is cool with me.

The way I see it, taking the bus (to Pattaya) or the Skytrain (around town) is a far more efficient manner of getting around - and has little to do with being a cheapcharlie in my book.
I'd rather hop on the skytrain and get where I need to go in 10 minutes or less, than end up stuck in traffic for far too long.
Going to Pattaya on bus or taxi takes roughly the same amount of time, but I feel the bus is more comfortable, I can grab some food to nosh on during the trip, and once at the bus station, a quick baht bus drops you off at the hotel. With cabs, you don't get there any faster, you certainly pay a lot more, and it's not necessarily more comfortable.
As for the hotel, I prefer something comfortable, since I found that the girls appreciate a nice hotel room, over a cheap pigsty - and show the appreciation.

I like to take cabs because it is door to door and with 3 to 5 people it is a better deal than the sky train.
I like an aircon bus to Pattaya over a taxi or van. You can relax on the bus. Once I took a van down for a fixed price and the driver stopped at every tourist trap along the way. I don't want to see a scale replica of the Eiffel tower or Big Ben!!!!!! He would stop even after we told him not too..... and the a/c didn't work very well.
