Yeah, that night was messed up... I met this not-bad-looking girl there and decided to go get a few more drinks and food down the street (next block next to the open lot) since Thermae was closing for the night. Things were going okay, we were eating & drinking, and I went to take a piss (a couple of times). That's where things get very blurred. I remember eventually leaving and meeting up w/some other people (her friends?) and eventually heading back to my hotel. Sometime that night I remember vaguely getting into some kind of argument w/the girl and I guess she leaves.
The whole next day I am totally out of it, can't even get out of bed to head out for New Year's Eve festivities. (avail02 can vouch for that since I left him stranded - sorry bro!) My head is very cloudy and as I look around the room, I realize that my bag w/all my sh_t is missing! Panicked & pissed, I try to remember the accounts of the previous night. Good news though, as it turned out, sometime that night I must've hid my bag in one of the desk drawers under some clothes. I guess I realized that I had something to worry about and managed to stash my stuff before totally knocking out.
All of my money & stuff was still there & it seems that I didn't pay the girl anything before she left, but she did take my bottle of cologne. 
Well, that's my "horror" story of Thermae. I must mention that I know that I was not just "drunk" because that night I didn't consume nearly as much alcohol as the rest of my nights in Thailand.  Overall, I'll probably check the place out again but be more cautious!

You sure she was a "GIRL" ?? - by and large those that deal in knock out drugs are the Katooeys ! - also of course, bear in mind the desperates go to Thermae, as they dont have the $$ to buy a drink/pay a cover charge, somewhere else....

An update on Thermae. I went there towards the end of my trip in March 2004 on a Thursday. I spent most of my time at go go bars and beer bars, so Thermae was a little different. Its dark and kind of dreary. I noticed some of the tg prefered the asian men, being they spoke Thai. Most of the women are 6 to 8s and if you look hard enough, there are some real nice ones in the group. One real cute tg was around 20 and wanted 1,500 st, which surprised me. I ended up with this tg, 1,500 lt, forget her name, who is tall, thin, long black hair, but she had a diamond shaped emblem that sparkles in between her eyes or above it. She was nice and we had a meal afterwards. The next morning she told me she had been drunk the night before and got real shy. She was also pushy about getting more money. I know many tg look like this, but I'd avoid her if you can. She also hangs out on Sukhamvit and around the food mall across from Beer Bar Soi 7. I also had some st with tgs who I saw at Thermae, but outside the place, they seemed more friendly and the prices started at 600 st.

I found it interesting and amusing to watch the "apprentices" on Suk trying to figure out how to ply their trade.

I just wanted to add that tg to avoid at Thermae is around 29 years old and speaks some English.

I thought it was interesting and kind of fun just to hang outside of Thermae and watch the women do their thing. The only negative is they don't let you to sit on the stairs in between Thermae and Bush garden while you enjoy the action. I looked in Bush garden bar, but the selection was limited and Thermae had a better selection. Not sure about the rates in Bush garden. One night at 2:00 am, a tour bus parked in front of the bars and 50 plus women got off the bus with bags and they all went into Bush garden. Someone told me they were coming back from a trip and worked at Bush garden. I couldn't figure out why they didn't go home instead.
