For a bit of fun - jump on the back of a motorbike and for the princely sum of around 20-30 baht?? They will tear up suk and take u to SC. Coming out of NEP, across Soi 4 u will see a stack of motorbikes and their riders (who may or may not be actually in any condition to ride aforementioned machines - be warned).
It is fun though and I find it to be a quick method of transport.

Actually, be warned..... !!! Taxis cannot Turn to the other side of Sukhumvit from Soi 4.
if you take your cab in Soi4, they will have to go around the city to take you to SC.
My advice is Walk across the other side of Sukhumvit and take a Cab in front of Soi 3... also, it the light is not Green on Asoke, get off at the BTS station and walk underground, 2 minutes later, you're in front of SC
