well, I have been with several.. and they can't do much with a ball on their tongue?? more important is to find a girl who can give good BJs.. if they have a piercing that might (note the word is might, not will) give more pleasure..
if anything, it was not as pleasurable..
I guess for some the fantasy of something different makes it better.. and not saying you should not try it, but if you never find it, doubt you missed a lot..
