Yes, it sells beer and has other mixed drinks available.
It is an elevated area, closed off by a bar that you can sit at along the front.
It has stools that you can sit on.
There are toilets to the right rear.
The owner always wears a tie and loves golf.
There are many girls that work there, all of which will be available for sex - at a price.

The Golden Beer Bar is a great place to just kick back, have a few drinks and watch all the drunks stumble out of NEP if your only looking for a quiet night. I've sat there a few times and eneded up having more than a few drinks and have enjoyed the company of a couple of ladies. I find that you don't get hassled as much there as you do in other bars. On my first trip it was the first bar I went to and found it was a good place to watch and learn and see what sort of atmosphere the whole area has.

I just returned from a brief sojourn to LOS, and whilst there spent a couple of enjoyable nights at this bar, in the company of some close friends and one particular lovely young lady.
The drinks are cheap, bar fine is 350 baht, and as mentioned before, it is a good place to sit and watch the world go bye.

yes it is a cool place to chill...
when I was working in Phuket and had to fly back to BKK every other week for sales meetings I had a nice GIK from that bar.....would come in have a few drinks and pay bar fine and go to grab dinner and drinks somewhere then LT at whatever hotel I was staying in...she even knew a little about and enjoyed wine (strange for a thai bird)
I posted about her before and she was super cool...even was nice to my GF (at the time...now wife) when we would go in for a drink together..never led on and my GF even thought she was cool. Maybe a 7 overall but her coolness and english bumped her up to 8.5 in my book.....
maybe I will drop in and say hello on my next trip..if she is still there
