Yo guys,
I consulted BK before starting this thread, as I assumed it had been tossed around a bit.
The "thai" wife and I are headed back in November for 3 weeks. I know many dudes here are married and I would like to hear some stories about your first trip back with the wife.
I think I have my plan in place...first 3 days in bkk (jatujak, MBK, visit mutual friends, our favorite restaurants, go see a gold level movie etc)...Then up north to her parents near Chang Mai where I will stay for about 5 days.
I have many mates in Thailand and have already made it clear she can stay up north with the family but I am headed back to BKK (3 days), Phuket (3 days) and Ko Chang (as much as possible).... ( 1 night in pattaya is in the plan if I can somehow fit it, but damn sure I didnt mention that.)
We kinda have a special thing for Ko Chang and she will meet me there for a night or 2. Then we will have 1 last night in BKK.
I guess I am just curious to fellow members what their expeirences have been when they return with the wife.
I mean, not only the "mongoring" part but just what I should expect. I should add my lady is very intuative. therefore, discresion is an absolute.
any advice/stories would be appreciated.

Bring your normal soap... they always bag you by sniffing soap that they are not familiar with!! And it may not fly by just saying "it was the saop from the hotel".

i would think that saying, "the hotel didn't have the soap I normally use back home." as being a completely true statement...even for business travellers within their respective countries...
so his wife would expect him to smell different...

I think he means that the wife will know what the hotel soap smells like, and will be able to tell that his soapie'd ass smells different.

Also, when you went to soapy, many MP girl like to put in some type of disinfectant in the bath water. My TGF can alway smell that on me therefore, I always ask them not to put in the water if possible.

What to expect? Just remember you asked - hope its different for you.
Whilst visiting the relatives and the wife's friends, I still enjoyed being back in Thailand but did not get any kind of buzz - minimal excitement level - visiting relatives is visiting relatives the world over.
When I did manage to get away to a bar or two. Well, for me it was like going to see my favourite magic tricks performed but AFTER seeing one of those tv shows that tells you how all the tricks are done. The girls seemed less attractive, the atmosphere less inviting, what had been a laneway of singing angels had become a alley full of noisy crows - the whole scene felt tired and worn instead of vibrant and fresh - I probably was just too slow putting on the "beer goggles" and getting the rose colored view but it was a shock to find myself so uninspired by all that was around me. Maybe I was too critical or expected too much or maybe I have been spoilt since my favourite piece of Thailand moved into my house - "I can get better at home" - I don't know but it was my least sanook trip to date.
I've been back since and the cure is to hit bars with a mate or two and to have other things at least planned for those days you have to yourself. Enjoy

Thanks for that post...I feel that I will get a similiar feeling...kinda like it will of lost a bit of its luster.
I agree, that getting drinks and dinner with mates that I have not seen in 2 years will be a top priority (after seeing the in-laws..I like her family.)
Then relaxing on an island for a few days...and the food...even from the stalls.
I am sure my mates and I will have fun hitting a few bars (we always get a kick out of the half/half bar in PP and angelewitch in Nana) and chatting up some lasses.
But my "mongoring" plans are pretty much stuck to a higher end MP on Ratchadapisek (sp?) with my thai actor buddy (he always treats) and a certain place on soi 7 1/2.
To be honest, I am curious to see what level of "guilt" I will experience now that I am married???????????
I am sure it will be fun, but not like before.

She wants you to have a good time, to have a holiday and is letting you run loose across Thailand on your own for about a week?
You think she doesn't know that you will "butterfly nit noi" (or was she a reclusive monk living in a cave high on Doi Suthep when you met?) LOL.
I'd say your wife feels pretty secure in her position as errr number 1 wife. She is giving you the green light to go and blow off steam and you are concerned about "guilt"? She loves you, she wants you to have a good time and she knows what men are like. In a word she is Thai. Be discreet, play your part right and you'll get free rein on the next trip to.
Other guys would kill us just to have our "problems". LOL

what soothing advice...your 100% correct, its my duty as a man LOL!!!
Funny story:
We were discussing the trip yesterday, and she said, "when you go to beach and I stay with family...remember what happen in ko chang."
what happened was I went on a 4 day trip with a great mate (total butterfly) we had some fun on the first couple of nights and the 2nd full day I was eating at the bungalow's restaurant and who the f*** comes walking down the beach...but my GF (who was supposed to be helping her boss redecorate the hair salon all weekend).
She knew which bungalow I would be at since we had stayed there 2 trips prior. Of course, I got up and walked out to the beach and took her backpack and asked her what happened...at that exact point my mate comes out of his bungalow (about 2pm) with his BG in tow (wearing his huge t-shirt) and yells out, " (my GF name) when the hell did you get here?"
She knew my mate was a butterfly, but nonetheless liked him the best of all my friends...and yelled back, "what time stebe lady go home?"
My Mate ( 6 feet 5 & hugging his tiny BG) "He never takes lady...you have only good man in Thailand!"
we all laughed..and he intoduced his BG to my GF and the 4 of us went and ate/drank.
It was funny that she brought that up...as if she would leave her family early to try and bust me...that would never happen and if I am discreet (as minder says) it will be all good!
Some others must have stories of trips back with the wife....the village trip etc??????????????
