Been in Thailand since summer of 89. Haven't been anywhere else except for short trips back to USA for business, weddings and funerals, and those as rarely as I can manage them.
Am presently setting up an (unrelated to CJ) business in vientiene, Laos, but that's really suburban Nong Khai in many ways (except politically). No, it won't be mining for rubies thank you very much.

Hi there,
living and working since 1994 in Thailand.
Everytime I travel to Europe I know why I like to stay here and not there...
We should not forget how privileged we are in this country, even they don't like us really...
But to be a foreigner in my own country would be much harder...

Yep, living in Thailand since August 1994. Just celebrated
my 8th year's stay.
No, presents from the Thai tax office though .....
Have been working in : travel, education, travel, more education, software, (again) education, construction
and now ...... education.
There were as many happy times as non happy times, but as a friend put it:
'I rather be unhappy in Thailand than in England'

I have lived here in Thailand for a year and a half now. I have not been back to the US since. Other than my family I don't miss the USA too much. I can't see returning to live there in the foreseeable future.
