I see so many threads that go in and out of the HIV/Aids issue and to use or not to use a condom. Let me bring it a little closer to home for some of you guys what are still in left field.
I do not talk about this subject with anyone other than my family. Because of the seriousness of the topic and because I love banging as much as anyone, I will share this story with all of you...
In 1997 my younger brother was in the prime of his life, went to college on a full scholarship, won two bowl championships during his college years, wasn't big enough to succeed in the NFL, even at 6'3&' but he loves business and move quickly to a company with lots of opportunity, he moved up the corporate ladder quite fast was at hitting his prime, at 31 yrs old, executive VP, time to start settling down and establish a family he was thinking, the company changed insurance companies, as he was a VP they paid his life insurance for him, so he had to go get a physical.. NO problemo!! He went for the physical and went back to work, about three weeks later he received a letter in the mail from the insurance company, it read like this.. we are sorry to inform you but we will not be able to provide life insurance, your physical blood test has positively determined the presence of HIV antibodies (i think that is the expression they used) in your blood. We recommend that you seek an additional test to confirm the results. I f***ing letter in the mail!!
NOW WHAT THE f*** DO YOU THINK HE THOUGHT OF THAT???? Of course the second test was taken, confirmed, I should not have to clarify but my little brother was as heterosexual as anyone, even more so, he like banging and he banged a lot. He was a horse race gambler and they would very often go to the Kentucky derby and other big races, All paid for by that great company he was rising up the ladder in, they would always book a big suite and order up the girls, he was sure about when he got it, and they tracked the girl down, he was right about the girl, this was November 1997. It may be hard for some of you to imagine but this is a guy who is one of six kids, and all of us aspire to have big families as well because of what we had growing up, imagine that every day you wake up and you think, I AM f***ED&" , no girlfriend, no sex, no babies, no life, no job, no nothing, I am totally f***ed for life. You have to eat 45 pills for breakfast. There are some of you that will say this is not true and you can make a life and you can have sex with your wife, blah blah blah. This is so easy to say because you don&' t have it. Have any of you been through tough times in your life and you had something hanging over your head, your mortgage, your job, your car payments, do you know how that worrying ate you up each morning when you woke up. Imagine waking up to &" I am f***ed&' ! My brother and I were very close, he spoke openly to me about his feelings, he choose to keep it in the family only and not let anyone in our town know about this, we are very upper class family with doctors, politicians, lawyers and the like in our family tree, you know what he was the most, embarrassed & ashamed, when people think of HIV and aids they think of gay people or drug addicts, NOT the guy voted most likely to succeed in his senior year of high school with two college football championship rings on his fingers, when someone says I have cancer they get a hug when someone says I have HIV or Aids everyone takes a step back, this is life! By June of 1998 he was back home in FLA and he was partying beyond comprehension, he just felt like he had hit a dead end&... on June 28th, 1998 one month before he was 32 yrs old, he died in a hotel room, his heart stopped and the people with him thought he was sleeping, he had hit more than rock bottom he was hanging around people that did not have enough sense to call an ambulance, he was too ashamed to be around any family or friends because he was so depressed all the time.
I don&' t make any excuses for my brother and the way he checked out. It could have been different, I wish it was different, my heart aches for him everyday, but guess what, IF he had used a condom every time he screwed a girl he would be alive today that is for sure! I used to be one of those guys that thought.. well this girl is clean or new or whatever, let me just enjoy some good old fashioned sex without wrapping my Johnnie, not any more.
It can happen to anybody. If it can happen to my brother believe me it can happen to you too. And he did not have to go abroad to get it either. It was right at home in the USA.
At the end of the day it is a personal choice, i choose to wrap.

PBD714, I am sorry about this. Well, I had a chance to share few beers with you during the last RT. It seems to be that anyone can have a different perspective on this issue once a sad story like this is written by a fellow you know a bit, rather than read thousands of similar stories written by complete strangers. Understand your pain, sorry about that.
Anyhow, I agree with what you said. We should protect ourselves to enjoy life in a safe way. Protect ourselves for us and for the people who love us too much. I think that does not worth to fool around and expose our safety having unprotected sex as these practices may be followed by days, months or years of nightmare that can affect not only us, but also can destroy people who really love us very much.
For a nice old fashioned sex without a hat we do have our real girlfriends/wifes. For underground experiences we have the nightlife in BKK, or wherever, to which we do need to think twice before any single intercourse.
A second of a "nice" silly/foolish moment inside a girl may become an long-lasting period of pain and frustration till you check out form earth.

CJ, I think this is time to say a word on your posts.
Well, certainly your experience is valuable and love to read your points of view. However, please cool down a bit and stop giving flames to people like the fellow Nahoj. This is not the first time you are giving flames to some brothers who only wanted to express their points of view. Gues what? Not sharing your points of view does not mean they are COMPLETELY wrong.
I think your way of addressing few fellows is not the way to raising interest in posting on this thread or any other. This is a forum to exchange views and different guys have different points of view. We will like some, we will dislike others.
Yes, some of them don't know anything about BKK nightlife and keep posting silly things. Well, I don't bother to read them. Just take it easy and few days later other fellows will reply to those queries.... In most cases they love to share the newbies section to get some feedback not necessarily coming from the so called "veterans"....Some others learned a lot by reading this incredible forum and even give suggestions to others even withound having any single experience in here. That's good. That's their way of learning. WE ARE NOT TEACHERS nor tourist guides. We only share views and you have to respect that as the other members do.
Back to the point. Look CJ, we do live here as well and certainly those issues concerning blood-tests are not 100% trustable. I met MANY TGs during my time here and accompanied more than one to the so called CLINICS where many of them take the blood test. Have you been in the smallish clinic behind Patpong? Well, there is also another small one in Ekkamai where I haven't been and many of the BG of Clinton Plaza go there....Furthermore, more than one bar request the checkings of thier girls in there.
If you use your Thai language proficiency ask your regular where she does the blood test. Maybe she does it at a Hospital or maybe at an infamous clinic? Dunno. Ask them how the MOR (Doctor) performs the test and vaginal inspection. Let them tell you their monthly experiences, if any, at the clinic.....maybe you will get something like......Dr. see pussy, no smell no wounds, only TUMS and blood test OK. YOU PASS!!!! keep working darling....
Well, NOT ALL the CLINICS are like this but the point is that not all the blood test are 100% trustable unless they are performed by the Hospital, which gives more hope in safety matters. Thus, the fears of many brothers is understandable. Any single sex-worker in Thailand should be considered as a potential risk. If we don't think so, everybody will cum inside any single TG, believe me. I could do that as well. Action: take your studded fellow and proceed in a safe way. Protect yourself and have a nice time. That's it.
Yes, there are others like my cutie at the J1 MP. At this place ALL the girls are requested to go once a month to have a blood test at ChaoPhraya Hospital (next door). Therefore, the answer is YES and also NO. Some of them got good monthly-tests and others keep working by passing crappy examinations in these CLINICS....
Keep cool CJ. Give your valuable comments and advise avoiding the flames. The brotherhood will be appreciated......and me too.

What's the story about the girls getting tested? How often? Quality testing being done? Or is it a case of BS testing and just records be marked as being done?
During my US Army days in Vietnam, we ran a VD prevention program in CanTo that checked the girls every 2 weeks. This was very effective at lowering the VD rate. I realize HIV has up to 6 months before it shows up on a blood test but they can pick up STD earlier.

This has been my experience. I think that pinga is correct in stating that it depends on the particular establishment.

It most certainly was NOT me who (supposedly) posted that a girl can (allegedly) buy a clean test result.
My experience (and yes I live here and have done for 15 years) is that the BGs and MGs are REQUIRED to carry a little record book on them, showing a pelvic every 1-2 weeks, with a stamp from the clinic, or they can't work. Period. And a blood test for HIV antibodies every 2-3 months. Also recorded in the book. Or they can't work. My wife used to carry one of those little books. That's how I know about it.
The HIV tests are invariable done by a LAB regardless of where the blood sample is drawn. There are no home HIV test kits in Thailand that I am aware of.
Now, obviously this does not apply to freelancers, be they on Sukhumvit, in beer bars, coffee shops, around Lumpini Park, or wherever. And that is one of the reasons why I advise people not to mess around with freelancers.
As to Nahoj, I did not flame him, I did not use a single profanity on him, I objected to his SCUURRILOUS overgeneralization about Thai nightlife girls, and I still do, unless I am misreading what he said -- which I dount. What I said was, that he slanders Thailand, and is reprehensible. I even called him 'sir'. Now, that is a criticism but it isn't a flame. If I had called him a mangy motherf***er, now THAT would have been a flame, but, I didn't and I don't.
If a brother says something positively scurrilous, is it not brotherly to POLITELY tell him the error of his ways?
If I have not been sufficiently brotherly, well, mea maxima culpa -- no that's not Thai, it's Latin and it means "I am most sorry."
I ignore a lot of trivial newby posts of the sort that you refer, pinga. Plenty of other brothers to answer them. I try to help where I can do so most effectively. And I do so without claiming any sort of superiority over anyone, as far as I can recall.
