Just returned from a week in Bangkok--first time. I'm a pretty grounded guy--GF, good friends, family, etc. But I have to say, it's really difficult to come back from BKK and re-enter the real world. Just can't look at women, sex, etc., quite the same way. I'm wondering what other people think. Does the BKK effect last for a few weeks or a lifetime? Short of returning (or vowing never to return), what's the best way to beat the post-partum BKK blues?

I just returned from my 3rd trip to Thailand 10 days ago. I decide to be a whoremonger this time around. I had sex with 13 different women in 14 days (3 of them twice). Not something I would do if I lived there but the possiblities are endless. I don't think you ever get over the experience. I not only enjoy the ladies but the country as well. I am constanly amazed at the sites, the food and stories the people tell me (Thai people) I believe that if the flower children of the 60's formed their own country that it would be very similar to Thailand. The best way to recover is plan that next trip, relive the past trip and live for the day you can relocate to this paradise. In Thailand you can start living life instead of just existing.

Surely it depends on why you went to LOS the first time and why you decided to go with prostitutes. LOS can be addictive so if you've got withdrawl symptoms then it usually means you like what you did and you'll have to go back, otherwise it's cold-turkey for you! Cheers PS. Right time of the year for turkey I s'pose!

I'm planning my 4th trip now. I've got memories from the last three trips I know will last my lifetime. Each trip seems to build on the last in memorable experiences. I come to LOS simply for vacation. It is the only place I've been in the world that can take my mind off of work, and I can relax. There is no way to beat the post-partum BKK blues IMO, and right now I don't think I want to. If I were able to beat them, I probably wouldn't return. They really hit me hard right after I buy my ticket for my next trip. That's when the clock starts ticking. That's the hardest part.......555

I am recently home after 10 weeks in LOS. Right now I feel like shit. I can’t tell you how much I am missing it. It’s not just the mongering, it’s the whole thing. The food, the people, the history and the weather. You just cant quantify what it is, you just know you would rather be there than here. I hope to get back in April/May, but it depends on renting or selling my restaurant. When I do it will free my time up so that I can come at any time as I can run my other web based business from there. Anyone want to buy a restaurant?
