Hey brother Byron, it wouldn't hurt to give the Jedi master heads up with a head count  but ultimately the final decision as to the date and meeting place are his alone. I was actually trying to get a handle on how many first rounds I'm going to end up buying. At this rate I'll be broke sometime around midnight Monday the 12th  . Oh well it's only money. Who's next? Not sure...planning on playing it by ear.
If I end up in Khorat...then I imagine that I would try to catch a RT flight, rather than backtrack by road.
However, If I go there first...then overland does sound interesting. The Tales of Asia website has some interesting recent border crossing experiences posted there, and would be the backpackers way to do it!
I have read the sanuk is in Siem Reap and that would be nice after checking out the temples all day.
I guess I will just make a call after getting set up in BKK.
I'll keep you posted if I lean towards a plan of attack.
