Well, tomorrow we go to get the passports for the kids. Damn I knew their would be alot of paperwork, but there is more than I expected.
It probably looks like we might be leaving around Christmas time, if nothing come up here in Thailand for me. So, if anyone knows of any jobs for a manufacturing/design engineer with six sigma black belt certification, let me know. I have 10 years experience in the automotive industry. Enough of the sales pitch 
My wife, I am sure, will be hit pretty hard with culture shock if and when we move to the States. I think just the cleanliness and the organized driving will blow her mind. We will be staying in Nebraska primarily, so that will blow her mind also. No people, no big cities, no ocean, no mountains. Living in the sticks will freak her out too. There are two Thai families from Bangkok living in my town, so she will be able to speak with some Thai people at least.
This all should be quite an experience.

555 - no ones irreplaceable, and in fact sure someone a bit keener/fresher would soon do as good if not better job - the good thing with Thais, is that they are always happy to chat/gossip - so playing the dumb farang [ even if it comes naturally ] - usually results in getting the info required ! - anyway, we will see what happens, big gap between a few offers for the name and putting the money on the table !

She has been to China before, and been in the snow. Although, I do not know if China gets as cold as the winters in the MidWest?
Another thing that will freak her out is the tornado's. She is going to think we are crazy when we hear the siren and start running for the basement.
