May I add to the feeding frenzy?
While the math seems to be of overriding interest lately, why stop there? Can we also consider limiting;
1) Any post containing sylables exceeding 3 in a word?
2) Any post which doesn't begin with Sir, and include please and thank you?
3) Any post exceeding the 35 word limit, and does not include at least two emoticons.
4) Any post which references harming large ocean roaming mammals, and their appendages?
5) Any posts which do not include a reference to shaving balls, and the best MP and best BBBJ in town?
6) Any posts which do not indict the latest whipping boy for crimes real and imaginary?
7) Posts which attempt to poke fun at or raise the hackles of body politic.
8) Posts utilizing subtle and not so subtle satire, which exceed 35 words and no emoticons.
9) Any post which attempts with rock music lyrics to express an opinion or belief however relevant to the topic and does not include emoticons.
10) And for the coupe' de' graaaa', any post which does not rightly thank France for helping the Butcher of Bagdad, not helping the U.S. and for the twin contributions to Western Society, language and the French tickler.
Brothers, these moderators need work. They require assistance to carry out they're mandate. They're hungry. They're thirsty. They need grist and fodder. Flotsom and Jetsom. They need you.
Event the great Smegma has grown weary of dredging stories of purilent interest from around the world.
Please help brothers, do not stop with numbers alone. Please, (and thank you) consider the qualitative aspects of this rogue band of merrymakers as well as the quantitative ones.

I believe I must post ten or more on many days. I sent you a PM asking about the way the total is calculated.
Some days you feel like it and others you don't. I appreciate the board you have created and enjoy the contributions.
I also think that most members may enjoy flexibility as well as responsibility. As an alternative to limits, could the moderators be asked to step in and point out to posters:
"You have just sent 10 (or 15 or whatever number), posts. Please consider if these are, in anyway, becoming excessive. If the moderators decide the posts to be excessive, you will not be permitted to post any additional messages for 48 hours".
Just an idea and since I am only capable of turning on a computer, I have no way of knowing if it can be done or how difficult it would be.

Why do you have to be so socialist about the whole thing? Applying one rule to everyone.
Why not have one rules for most people but give members who have a lot to contribute freedom from the rule (a bit like the old newbie not allowed to create new threads rule).
(But if you have a single rule - 10 posts per day is surely fine)
