I've been to Saphan Kwaai area with a couple of thai guys. Bor-ing.
Think of the smallest gogo on Soi Cowboy (two girls dancing), then give it the amount of space that Bamboo or Midnight Bar has, just for seating. Pretty consistent.
Definitely no nudity, at least not when I was there.
Sitting charges were common. At the place that didn't have a sitting charge, we ended up buying drinks anyway (communication error, as they continued to sit with us).
And lest you think that the girls are less expensive there, the prices that I was quoted (and recieved by proxy from the thai guys) were about the same as any farang venue. Take that statement as you will - I may have been quoted a different price. But that was separate from the sitting charges (and drink charges).

As Sapahn Kwai is a predominately Thai area, how do you think they would feel about a group of farangs turning up, being loud etc etc.
Would there potentially be any friction there between the groups? Having never been there I dont know. Maybe something to consider as it could ruin the night.

1 - Drink prices are much lower (nobody even frowns if you're sharing the large bottle of Heineken together). Soft drinks are 25 baht or so.
2 - The number of dancers (sometimes only one girl at a time) per bar is much smaller than SC or Nana. But the girls I've seen are better looking and their dancing style is much more lively than their sleepy SC counterparts.
3 - It is indeed a Thai area, but no friction. But do understand that the willingness of approaching you is much lower than on SC/Nana/PP because the girls are not proficient in English.

would like to delegate the duties if possible and nominate Dr. Love as the leader in Sapahn Kwai, if he's up to the task,,,
not even sure I'll be able to make it, as I don't normally stay in BKK more than 2 nights a week any more
but don't worry, I'll be moving back to the Burbs soon, and should be able to attend more often, if I'm not still fed up with upper Suk. Road
