You look like the only one. I find LOS so cheap I can be a rich tourist on the same amount of money it takes to be a poor backpacker in Europe.
This is a nightlife site for the most part, and those things that contribute to it. The Thai perception of backpackers can hinder your ability to enjoy what the nightlife has to offer in a big way.

However in the Pattaya section and Z when you do so it always shows nothing but that the member is deleted no idea why?

Hey Keepcoolforit. From the way you seem to be asking this question I get the impression you are under some kind of illusion that backpackers are not allowed or in some way not welcome on this board. I am no expert but I have never heard of a case where BK has either not allowed or banned someone from using this board just because they are not rich. Have you ever thought that maybe the backpackers you are talking about do not want to post on this site?
We have no idea where the damn backpackers are, we have no control over then.
Now please stop asking stupid questions that no one can answer.

i was in the scouts and that one year at stonehenge thats very blurred from many moons ago.
for the prices in los i'll have a room and shower and swimming pool thank you very much
what I think you must mean is age,i.e younger, I went backpacking once in europe almost 25 yrs ago, it was an interesting experience, shagging swedish and finish girls in dormatorys but something I quickly grew out of.
Walking into nana plaza gives a similar sort of rush

Oh shit, I've really been living on the edge! When I am in Bangkok, I usually throw caution to the wind -- for instance, I walked past the Marriott this morning and I drove by the Hyatt yesterday. I've actually had a drink at the Westin too! Lucky for me the bomb didn't go off while I was there. Whew, that was close! Thanks for the info.
I didn't get blown up last night, but I did get blown.  Same same?
I'm headed over to check into the Grace - much safer there.

Seems to me that keepcoolforit does not have a firm grasp of reality (which seems to be common to most backpackers).
For the record, the only Western owned hotel that has been bombed is the JW Marriott in Jakarta. Bombs are usually detonated in Christian Churches (around Christmas in Indonesia), clubs and discos in Bali, most anywhere in Mindanao, the occasional McDonalds in Java, and the OZ Embassy in Jakarta (whenever the locals think about East Timor).
Given that record I would suggest that Western Hotels in SEA are safer then the London Transit...
