50% remember your name? That's worth more that 40B! IMOP. I don't think you should tip for "regular" full service MP service. People have come to think that tipping is "mandatory" and it's not. Most girls will not expect a "tip". The more they get one, the more they will expect it. NO Tipping unless she shares and swallows or demands a repeat.

Paying a girl in the morning I usually give what I feel they have earned, no real tip element. Paying for drinks, I'll claw back all but about 20-50THB from change depending on amount and waitress 'interaction'. Well served in restaurants will result in about 20%, 10 if mediocre service.
Not really a MP person, 200-500 direct to girl (having paid main fee up front at desk).
Taxis - hundred or so for the airport run if they are friendly and find the right terminal etc.
Hotel maids - 40-100THB depending on how much my conscience is bothering me over the mess on the sheets...
Of course the long-time girls get other tips which have included shoes, tops, underwear and, in one case, a wig 8^)

this thread should get some blood boiling as it is always an area where members' ideas conflict. Give a big tip and one could be accused of driving prices up for everyone else. Leave little or nothing and someone will jump on it saying this is abusive. In any event, I am glad there is info being given and so far no derogatory remarks.
For me, old, bald, fat and ugly- hansum man that I am;
soapy= 1000 or 2000 if she is one that I have had great past experience with
oily = 1500 - 2000 with same condition as above
BJ bar = 1000
go go = 100 for drinks only and if I have engaged them not if they are whining for drinks
go go ST = 2000 or 500 for complete lack of performance
go go LT = 4000 or turn it into ST due to lack of first shot performance
FL = no tip above agreed price
bell men = 20 - 40
maids = 100
In the event they mistakenly call me CG, I ask for all the money back

I'll give this a try as well....
Soapy/Oily : 200-500 depending on satisfaction.
BJ Bar : See soapy/oily above.
go-go : I usually slip them 100 if I asked them to join me. Nothing if they are a pest.
ST/LT : normally give 500 or so if I am satisfied.
Bell men : 100 at check in and maybe 100 when we leave if they have given good service.
Maids : 20 baht daily
Taxi driver : Loose change
I would never be mistaken for either CG or JA since I am neither good looking or a big tipper. If they mistakenly call me DG, that's another story.

Eden club, typically 1000 baht for overnight. Bargirls depends greatly on the circumstances including girl, attitude, what she does and how drunk I am. Seriously, BG in the bar get from 0 to 1000 depending with 200-400 being the most common. There is a bargirl I regularly drink with and never take out. She is fun to be with and I might stay with her for 2-3 hours. I always tip her 1000 because she is fun and I take up her time. If I take a BG home and we play short time I will tip 500 if she is good. I would rather tip too much than too little but I am never sure. This thread is helpful for perspective.

Soapie / oily: 500 BHT if excellent service
GG girl: Depends on agreed price, if they got 1,500 -2,000 s/t or 2,500 l/t I figure the tip is already paid.
Bell boy : 100 at check in (usually gets better future service), 100 at check out.
Maids : Always 50BHT left on pillow,daily.
Taxi: Good service and use meter = honest, honesty deserves reward.tip usually 10-25% of fare.
OUTSTANDING service from any of the above will bring 500-1000 tip.

Most of the time they do not get a tip from me if anyone performs their assigned task. However if they appear to go out of their way, they receive 10% and no more and I have never had a problem with them.
Those outlandish tips some guys pay are way over the top, you people are setting a benchmark for them and if they do not get it, they get awfully mad.
Mr Jack Attack, you sir are making it very hard for us mortals with your high tipping. Then again, they do not get the tip till the job is finished, so I still have that in my favour. When they put their out for a tip, I shake their hand and say 'thankyou', that f***s them up.
