Not true - I actually dislike smoking, mostly because it's something dumb people do -- and since I dislike dumb people as well, well, they end up falling in the same category of dislike... but they are in good company.

I won't agree that smokers are dumb at all. Just another vice among many. As long as they can contain their smoke to themselves in a self contained room for smokers or outside its fine, but somehow many smokers seem to think that they should be able to smoke anywhere they want.
Actually, I think many would be satisfied with the nicotine drug that is contained in the cigarettes, but you seem to need a doc's prescriptyion to get nicotine, but not for buying cigarettes????

Lest I digress again, I am always curious how some smokers have decided it is ok to drop cigarette butts on the street, in toilets, put them out on plates on a table, etc?
I have been known to spark the odd stogie but never considered throwing it down and stepping on it only to leave the remaining butt for someone else to take care of. Similarly, I would never tap ashes on a food plate nor throw a butt in a urinal/toilet.
How did this behavior become acceptable?

I guess this brings us right back to the 'dumb' argument - and to clarify, let me amend it by correcting myself that I mean 'most, if not the vast majority' when I said 'smokers'.

I think the non smoking tag team are selecting the rude minority of smokers to condemn all smokers.
I have NEVER used a friggen plate as an ash-tray,, YUCK,, I do NOT smoke in restaurants ( my choice, as many say it's ok).
I do NOT wish to blow my smoke on non-smokers ( the reason I suggested there be some smoking bars).
I do NOT smoke in a car with non smokers and ESPECIALLY not around children, I DO NOT smoke in my home ( my house-hold has children and non smokers).
But the Nazist do gooders want to lable ALL smokers as evil people hurting others,, that is crap.
