There's also the story of the one guy who decided he won't fall for the scam, only to find out later that the girl was telling the truth, and she died.
Yes, there are lots of scams, but if she's in some village, medical treatment to have stomach pumped and medication provided should not cost more than $200 (and that's, like, the maximum). If you're serious about the girl, have someone local check out her story (like, maybe, TPE - Thai Private Eye), or if you don't care if she (or her sister) lives or dies, then just walk away.

Yeah, I thought of that... Im not heartless. But, when you overdose on drugs and they wait to pump your stomach until you can pay the bill it's a bit too late, don't you think? Western Union is not that fast.
I emailed her back and probed a little more, but Im not optimistic that I'll get a straight answer. She told me she went back home to her family in Udon and got out of the biz, but I have some evidence that she didn't leave BKK.
