Thanks West! Only 8 days now until I fly.
LG is going to the American Embassy in Laos on Monday to get the Package 3; I will then help her with the forms so we can get an interview ASAP. I’m hoping we can get her visa by Labor Day weekend so I can fly out and pick her up without using any more vacation. The 8 days I have remaining I want to use to help her adjust to life here.
Got all my Immunizations for visiting rural Laos the other day, antibiotics, and Malaria medication.

4 days until I fly, 5+ until I see my Lao Girl. I’ve been practicing saying the names of LG's parents and siblings, 2 sisters, 3 brothers. Wish I could fast forward to getting LG alone in the hotel room in Singapore, and remind her of the no clothing in the hotel rooms rule.

Got a letter from Homeland Security that INS had approved the VISA petition and sent it to the NVC "National Visa Center" on June 10th. They say that the petition should be forwarded to the Laos Embassy in 2-4 weeks from that date, this could be as early as next friday! With some luck I can pickup the packet #3 with Lao Girl on my visit over the 4th of July weekend.

So I received a 2nd letter dated July 17th from the Bureau of Consular Affairs that my petition would be forwarded to the American Embassy in Vietiane within a week. It also stated that my Fiancée would soon receive her packet of instructions. It looks like things are progressing at a fast pace so far.
