Waiting mode is a pain in the ass.
Every evening I think "one more down, xx more to go."
Just close enough to start to believe it, just far enough to be too early to start preparations - the itchiest phase is here.
Next thing is to pay the flighttickets...sometimes this or next week. And eat this boredom in the farangland continuously.
AND JUST YESTERDAY ONE DUDE SAILED IN THE BAR WITH A THAICHICK IN TOW !!!!!!!!!!

This is a real illness, and the treatment simple....fly early. In my case this time I actually have to delay it a week. But often I go insane, and hit the the airport early. Seeing pretty thai girls, adds to the pain of waiting. And the last 21 days especially slow. The return is even worse. And usually its important to have all the footage and photos memories on hand, and a new air ticket for next trip prepared to ease the blow of after los.......... I try to do alot of walking and surfing, and earlier nights, and and the time goes Quicker....still blast off awaits..... (might tune into rabbit radio)

hello all
Going on 9 weeks since I last walked on Thailand soil. I have no set date for return just hopes and dreams it will be sooner rather then later.
My 1st few weeks back in the U.S were fine. Freshness from the last trip carried over and help the days go by. Eagerness to go back to my job to tell my work mates the stories to make money for my next adventure didn;t seem all that bad. However a few weeks ago the happiness wore off and reality started to set in.
The Job is getting to wear on me like all Jobs do. The attention the TGs give you is missed The smells of food stalls is missed, the poping into a beer bar for a brew is missed Ect ect.
Whats a guy to do besides plan the next trip. Pick a date any date and Start the count down back to where the cure is, LOS. Theres hope when this is finalized Theres a cure all date. Happiness will return to your body and mind. memories will return to you with a smile cause you know more memories are to be made soon JOY is in the air WOOOOHOOO.

Flashbacks have returned.
Just yesterday I was sitting having a beer when looked out of the...GT's windows and saw soi 5 in my mind.
Today I was paying bills via net...doing RadioRabbit and sipping coffee.
Watched the postcard of Jomthien...feeling the heat of the sun on my skin.
SHIIIITTTT...They are playing that old song "Emmanuelle" in the radio, guess who's grinning !
Still so close, so far, but not so unreachable anyway.
Tickets are paid now.

I know exactly how you feel. Spoke to my TGF late last night and asked her how long has it been since I'd left. It hasn't even been a month...more like two weeks! Feels like two months though.
Another month or so before I slip back into dreamland a.k.a LOS.

That’s when SHE drifted into my field of vision from the back of the store. It took me a second to realize that my carefully guarded vision of a perfect woman just manifested itself about 12 feet from me and approaching. The mall noise muffled into a hum as glorious music played in my ears, while SHE walked in slow-motion, the wavy, raven-black hair enamoring her angelic face, bouncing slightly around her shoulder in harmony with her breasts and the delicate swing of her hips. She was wearing white and I couldn’t take my eyes off her flawless light-brown skin, mainly that little streak between her top and her pants. I maintained the casual posture while being introduced, despite my heart in full arrhythmia, my weak knees and my brain screaming; OH MY GOD! HOLY SH_T!! HOLY MOTHERF_CKING SH_T!!! Then I heard someone from the outside who sounds just like me, saying my name. Still with a polite grin on my face I shook her hand, thinking collapsing at her feet and beg for her love is probably too early…maybe I just blow my load and die right here. Might as well, since I had the proof that God, indeed created Thai women when Eve got a little too complacent. What a burn…
Since it was Tuesday, I was invited to have dinner with TW and Hubby at the restaurant where SHE worked as a bartender.
After three hours of prep-work (nose hair-shaving, eyebrow-plucking, nail-clipping, ball sack-scrubbing) and a quick release to prevent brain-clouding I was on the way.
She came out from behind the bar, gave us hugs (her scent burned into my brain for eternity) with a smile that makes grown men weep. Dinner was pleasant and uneventful (I do enjoy the company of my friend and his wife) and we sat at the bar for dessert.
She and I chatted, mostly about her, her goals, desires and boyfriends (oh, joy). The sparkle of her eyes, gestures of her hand, the shape of her neck as she turned her head, I could already see this performance art of perfection playing against the backdrop of my bed sheets.
However, being a gentleman I am, I have departed with my friends, taking advantage of a series of free hugs.
Navigating my way toward the freeway, reality started to set in. Playing out scenario after scenario, I knew I have very little to offer at this time, in this place. I had to find greener (browner?) pastures if I wanted to live my dream…even temporarily. And as I tried to get away from it all I just let the needle creep above 85mph, while in the rear-view mirror the mist from the ocean engulfed the skyline of LOS…LOS ANGELES, that is…
