What I fail to understand is why Mr. Alan will not give the Giants credit for WINNING the game and seems intent on blaming Favre for LOSING it.
Because Faavraa did loose it with a interception that he never should have thrown (according to his hometown newspaper).
If Faavraa had not thrown the interception, then the Giants may have won it anyway, but that is not what happened.

I didn't see your post untill tonight. Occasionaly, I have a life outside of BTF, and if the thread rolls off the Last 25, I usually don't see it.

As for the Superbowl, what a defensive game and the ending was awesome...you guys should have seen mrs atl literally jumping up and down and screaming for the Giants..it was hilarious...
I listened to a radio sports talk show this morning and one guy called in saying "Giants dont deserve it because they lost 6 games and just got hot at the end when NE won 18 straight!"
My response to that is yes NE probably is the better team but didnt bring their "A" game when it counted most and thats not a champion in my book..the Giants were the better team last night..

Am I correct in assuming your Faavraa spelling is referring to the movie "Something About Mary"??? I loved that movie!

As many people surmise, Bret Faavraa cannot pronounce his own name correctly. He pronounces it Farve, even though it is spelled Favre. During this past season I saw an interview with his wife, and they asked her why it is pronounced Farve when it is spelled Favre. She gave that "deer in the headlights" look and the interviewer just moved on the next question.
Not long ago, I hired a contract IT consultant (born in India) working for me in the US who did not even know his real last name (which we learned the hard way when we tried to buy him an airline ticket for a business trip). I fired him a few weeks later.

While picking the lint out of my navel at the office, I have been musing about the recent Super Bowl.
Orbit ESPN re-played the game last night so I decided to watch it when I was awake. I have been mulling over the game some this morning, when not occupied with my other chores outlined above, and have come to a startling conclusion.
The Giant defense made Tom Brady look pretty overrated and ordinary before they were through with him.

On another note for Mr. Alan, I have heard that Bret Favre's wife noticed that Hillary Clinton thinks she can be President after watching Bill for eight years.
Bret's wife is going out for the quarterback position in Green Bay next season since she has watched Bret play QB for 16 years.
She is twice as qualified as Hillary.
