It would be silly of me to get into an argument on this issue - as I really cannot say that I know definitely what the policies in each bar are .
However firstly cmore latest post supports my thinking & secondly , about 3 months ago I went to Nana with a friend ( both of us are Indian ) . At the bar that we wanted to enter we were stopped by a Mamasan who told us that only members were allowed . I immediately told her that we did not want to enter but that we just wanted to bar-fine a couple of girls . Yes , you guessed right - we sailed right in . I was basing my opinion on that experience .
But you could be right . Anyway , in the final analysis I also hate discrimination of any type and I strongly feel that those who discriminate are the ones with an inferiority complex .

First of all thanks people .... for all the great advice that I am getting on the forum ;.will definitely help me plan my trip better.......and get the biggest bang for the buck 
As for the No Indian or No coloured policy or no whatever policy ... what can I say !!! I guess this is the world we live in today.... It does pain me immensely that such barriers still exist and in the twenty first century... But then such barriers are there and we cannot wish them away..... In India too we have such barriers where people of African decent or people some parts or sect are looked at with suspicion and discriminated against...though maybe not so blatently
Still thanks for the Heads Up.... I guess money talks is the message I get.... and also the to be pretty chilled about the whole issue if I were to face any . And to keep smiling.... I intend to have blast..... Unless wife decides to join me.... I guess will be having a blast of a different kind then...... Bring on shopping malls and temples ..

By the way any of you guys in BKK around June 29 - July 5th? If yes would you like to meet and have some fun? Am an Indian , 30 years . So I guess the ones who do not like Indians can stay away

ID please don't worry about your being an Indian. It is not going to affect your potential for sanuk seriously. Being a very dark Indian, I had this discrimination only once at Log Gun and nowhere else. I had nice experience all around including a great one at an MP which doesn't allow farangs.
I will miss you in BKK by about 3 days it looks like. I will be there from 8th July onwards. Otherwise we coud have had some masti together.
