Though things are changing you can't deny that Thailand is a class-system-society. In this system I believe Indian/Pakistani people are low on the list. Lower than farang but higher than black people. This is why in some bars people get refused entry, you rarely see Thai people in Indian restaurants, etc. etc.
I get to this insight (big word) by talking to quite a few people (thai/indian/farang) and just looking around. I haven't spoken to ALL the Thai people so you could say it's not a representative opinion but that's like sticking your head in the sand.
I must add that a lot (but still a minority) of Thai don't agree with this class-system and try and look at people in a different way.
But in the end Thai society is a racist (or class-based, whatever you like to call it) society, whether you like it or not.
