Recieved this in the mail and thought it was appropiate.
as explained by Cliff Clavin, of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. Here's how it went:

I think the issue is to be measured against a differnt scale:
throwing spears.
Let them measure themselves against drunkenness or number of Thai Girls perminute etc, but can they throw spears?
You know, when they close in, with balls in the air, grab your Girl ( i.e. the Thai Girl your heart is really, really, burning for), throw your spear and hold your ground and go for break-out. Objective: Antwerp - oops, I meant your hotel ( objective "Antwerp" was for the battle of the bulge)
