Ad Carabao is making more news lately with his fighting cocks and his "Carabao Daeng" Energy drinks, which is creating huge business, and commercials can be seen daily on Thai TV. He is still popular with people from country side, eg. Isaan!
City people got a bit of a different opinion on him, bit of a controversial figure as well as he practices now exactly the opposite, as he preached once in his songs 20 years ago. (eg. Made in Thailand etc.)
Bird Thongchai has won his first MTV Asia Award back in February and Media and Fans were very happy for him, especially considering being somewhere in his 40's ish.
LoSo is till around, but the Hot Shots in Thailand are currently "Silly Fools" a Rock and Pop Band with good texts and not taking themselves and Thai establishment too seriously. Kids were going mad when they played at the recend Pattaya Music Festival.
"Taxi" is another Band which is very popular, same as "Potato" and many others.
BTW: Tata Young is the first Thai chick signed contract with an international record company such as Grammy. She sings in english and Thai. Pretty hot in her Videos and very sexy, bitchy and naughty.
And not to forget: Boyd Koosyiabong, Singer and Songwriter, which released a new CD last year.
