Hey guy's is this thread dead? I am heading out soon, I hope someone is putting together a RT for May. I would hate to travel that far and not have the pivilage to attend.

Brother Smoky the RT is scheduled for the 21st but no venue has been selected yet. Before the forum went down I believe Jedi Master BK was leaning toward having it somewhere in Patpong this time as a change of pace.

It will definitely be somewhere near Patpong.
We could start with one of the quieter bars. I guess Cosmos is out, since it will be packed on Fridays as the Rotary Club members meet there.
We could try Executive Lounge first, and then we can go around to the various bars.

Kings Corner has a band, not too good when I was there. Probably doesn't get started until later, anyway. Another option is the Irish Pub in front of the BTS station. Usually no one is upstairs, and they used to have 99 baht specials on pints of Carlsburg (when they had Carlsburg). They also have some 2 for 1 specials during happy hour, forget when it ends.

The food is OK, I've eaten there a few times. And I recall seeing people order buckets filled with 6 bottles of beer, served on ice.

FYI, at the corner of PP1 and the alley is Kings Corner, the go-go with a mix of TGs & LBs. Across the alley from it is the semi-open air bar/club with a live band, called Muzik cafe or something like that. Next to Muzik at the corner of the alley and PP2 is King's Garden, which is similar to Muzik in that it too has a live band.
The Barbican on Soi Thaniya is an interesting place to meet. It's a Brit pub with draft Guinness with windows overlooking Soi Thaniya -- an inspirational view.
I'm arriving late that evening. I've got Kev29ie's number, but as long as BK, Dr. Love, RTB (some of the few members I've met) and a few others are around I ought to be able to catch up with you guys.
