I disagree with the first part above. There are other criteria besides infallability that can give the opinion from someone to have greater weight than the opinion of somebody else. You have a point -which somehow I understand and somehow share some of your views. But the comment above doesn't help make the point as it can be easily shot down.
Anyway, I think the issue is not having or not ulterior motives? We all have different reasons to be here. Some come for info. Some for fun (good and bad). Some for the abuse (yes some like to be abused). Some for company (they only get some attention here). Some do not know why they come, but are simply addicted to the forum. Any obscure ulterior motive? Like what? Anyway, I do not think it should matter what the reasons are. At the end it comes down to what the person posts and doesn't post
BTW, did you get a direct response from Deby to something? Lucky you. When I ask her a direct question, I never get one.

I agree with you that this forum and this thread are basically for amusement. An organised gossip column.
I am sure that I post for many of the reasons that you suggest.
Granted. I was chasing a very simple point that I believe was made at its inception. Sometimes chasing down an elusive reply can result in pedantry.....
Perhaps those that think they cannot be fooled, are those most likely to fall victim ?
Ulterior Motive? I meant it literally when I said that Deby was playing a game. If not, then perhaps all is as it appears to be. If I am 'right', then a possible worse case headline would read:-
'Apparently Intelligent Woman Behaves Oddly in P4P Forum'.
But of course I am curious as to why she is doing it and speculate, but I see nothing sinister in any of the possibilites. It is silly, but it is interesting silliness.
Yes, I got an answer of sorts, and the fact that she threw in the towel. End of story !

In my opinion there are MANY apparently intelligent men behaving oddly on this forum...how come you aren't all writing threads about them?
To be it all comes back to some people just having a proverbial bee in their bonnets about Deby being female.....

1) Did she allow you to disclose that private info regarding her whereabouts? I remember you once asking me to remove something from a post regarding a national team because it hinted where you were from.
2) True. But that is a weak argument. We are talking about Deby here -not the others. There have ben threads about others often. Just they were not women and as such no people came to defend them playing the W card.
3) Perhaps some. I trust you know me better and I have no issue with her being a woman. I have an issue with her posting manners. And I have an issue about how some males here react to her being a female. I think the female issue is actually played more by those who defend her than by those who attack her. Like OJ Simpson overplaying the race issue, we have the same here. I couldnt care less is Deby was asexual. Anyway, with deby posting less lately... this should be a moot point for a while. I hope that when and if she comes back, she will have better forum manners and a better attitude on her posting -a little of sense once in a while would also help.

As for saying where Deby is on holiday at the moment should not be a problem, by the time the assassins get there, she'll be gone.
