i think i will give up on this matter.
myself and others have tried to arrange a night out.
but due to the lack of feedback which might have helped me and others,i think i must give up and take things as a no go.
i'm not prepared to pay a big deposit on the restaurant when not knowing exactly how many people will be attending.

Oh Shit.
I nearly booked a double for us at the Victory c.
they wanted 500bht joiners fee.
I wondered why I had no takers for rooms.
Still I have invitaion from a Chinese television producer.
to spend the night with her.
I am saying no more , well thats that then , but will be in leatherhead in Sept ,so may run down for a meet.

the last i saw was a post from you you saying you might be able to attend RT's in London and BKK.
i did ask if you could attend RT in London,but i had no answer from you.

i tried and wanted to arrange a night out,but it got difficult when people would not give me full details.
do i reserve a table in a restaurant for 4 people and then 15 turn up?.
i know of 4 people who want to come for a night out,but what happens if more arrive and the restaurant will not let them in?.
another member has taken a lot of his time to try and arrange things and all we get is abuse.
i have never said i never want to return to Thailand,i want to be there 365 days a year.
i love the place,but unlike some i am unable to move there.
i envy all of you who are living there.

My response to your kind offer. With good reason, despite your snidy Kings Head comment. Maybe the fact that you don't read the responses is why you don't have your numbers, but at least it lets the patented 'nokna martyr act' loose again.

Just get numbers and make a booking on the day at one of the many Thai restaurants that will not be full. No deposit required. Always such a fuss......

no i did not see,your reply on the other thread,as BK knows i am having problems with the forum and some things never show up and i miss things.
but thanks anyway for the link and your answer.
but things were arranged for the Friday,would that be better for you?.
as for the Kings Head,i have never said to any of the members we would meet or go there.
but if you can only make the evening for a quick beer,then i see no problem popping in.
it would have been good to meet you and shake the hand of someone i enjoy corresponding with.
not easy to get numbers when people will not let me know for sure if they are turning up.
great fun for me if i book a table for 12 and then i am the only one there.
and yes the strong urge to return to Thailand is not with me anymore.
but this was talking about the LOS blues.
whenever i return home,i have had the feelings many have,wanting to return as soon as possible.
but as time passed after my last visit,the feelings passed,i found the urge and desire got less and less.
oh yes,i hope to return again in the future and i was hoping to visit in September,but it was a no go in the end.
disappointed i could not go,but not earth shattering.
if and when i can go again i will be the happiest bunny in town.
