sounds like her family is having a hard time paying her way thru Uni. Judging from the books she had it was some sort of Community/Municipal Uni./College
my mobile camera depends on my unsteady hand unfortunately. I've manage to make the best photos when I had something to use as a prop/tripod
the ones of the ButterFly Bar girl (PTTY) in bed (BKK) were horrible, but my hand was extra unsteady due to other parts of me being stiff...

Ok, I vote for Lucky lukies, it is far enough inside to see every passing body with great detail, but not to far as to miss any. It is also never crowded, so a group of us will not have a problem getting ringside seats for the parade.
BigDogs is always to crowded around that time for a large group and I am sure the owner of LL, if not the same as BD would do a deal on grog for us all, they probably would put on a happy happy hour or 2.
Also we should get several dozen score cards made up about 6 inches square, numbered from 0-10 and give all the passers by a score.
