When I read "USC", I thought it was the University of Southern California!! Which I know, still did not make sense!! ha ha ha!!
IMO:
To thrown down personal threats is unwise and not cool.
You don't know who you are goin' to offend or piss off and the world is not that big a place, not to mention Thailand ingeneral.
Those that travel especially to Thailand should understand that getting your personal information is a very good possibility.... if you know the right people!!
Which would mean that "if" you wanted to have a private discussion with a certain indivdual, information to help faciliate that meeting could be available.
Hense, it would be best if the personal threats were left out of the forum and more discussion on Thai culture, adult activities, ect. were discussed.
And I'm not saying I'm a big man or Mr.know-it-all. I just that I know it can be done without jumpin' through too many hoops.

does that mean that US Citizens only fight their battles in court ??
I know of a fellow who was kicked out of LOS because the police were sure he was going to "have an accident" after having pulled a knife (are you listening LongTime ??) on a group of people including one fellow's wife. The wife's face was slashed, and the husband's leg was also badly cut.
when that sort of thing goes on the rule book (lawyers) pretty much go out the window...

Right decision. THAT guy was part of a problem. If I have read it right LongTime's adjustment is defensive use of a blade.Offensive use of a knife makes anyones chips fall down real fast.
Did the attacker face any financial consequences ?
It's not cheap to get wifey's face to heal without visual scars.
