.... even S M E G M A agrees with Daffy sometimes and that's a milestone!
You see Dr., nobody is a total asshole all the time, just like nobody can be wrong all the time (imagine who much a guy like that would be worth). Thus, it cannot be avoided that once in a while I will agree with people like UKGuy, Darry, LY, and even yourself Dr.L. Shit, on rare ocassions I even agree with myself.

What is more important,

.
- To Win?

- To add Value?

- To be Right?

With these questions I wish you all a great Christmas Weekend, the thread about Emerson Lake and Palmer has re-opened on the Z for all to enjoy.

Don't hurt yourselves in the hustle bustle of the Season's Celebrations,

Your Brother Frank

Which part of "I won't be back" didn't you understand, when I stated as much on the 'Z'? Considering your current spamming of the 'Z' is no better than what Big Chief did (*), you have managed to make a visit to the 'Z' into a monumental waste of time, and have damaged the 'Z' beyond repair.

(*) I found it odd that Big Chief gets banned, yet you do not, for the exact same incessant posting of spam-like nonsense. Yes, I'd take this message to the 'Z' but I simply won't go there. It's a waste.

Perhaps this should go in the "what do you want written as your Epitath thread" but what I DON'T want is
He didn't drink
He didn't smoke
Poor bloke died of boredom

Seriously, moderation is the key with most things,, same as ATL I drink more than I should ( but not "smashed" everyday), smoke more than I should and I do enjoy myself. 65 years of fun or 80 years of boredom,, I'll take the 65 thanks.

Also remember when checking the "safe" drinking limits that the data is collected from people It would be safe to assume that most people understate their consumption by 50% or more so having several drinks a day is ok but always have a day or two OFF the drink, per week, for the liver to repair itself.

Cheers

P.S I haven't had a drink for 10 days,,, bloody anti-biotics!!!!!

LOL! Another one still believing that!

"A widespread myth holds that you shouldn't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics, but in fact, drinking doesn't lessen the effects of the drugs.

http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/QAA326593

"And in fact, lots of people also wrongly believe that you should not drink any alcohol while taking any of the antibiotics..... The VD Clinics of the 1950s and 1960s gave the somber and serious advice that alcohol should absolutely not be used while taking penicillin. But there were no significant chemical interactions between penicillin and alcohol. The real reason that this advice was given was for moral reasons, not pharmacological reasons. The medicos of the day were worried that alcohol would reduce the inhibitions of the sufferers, and that, while under the influence, they might get a little "frisky" and pass on their infection to another person, before the penicillin had a chance to cure the sexually transmitted diseases. That's how the mythconception that alcohol should never be taken with antibiotics arose."

http://www.abc.net.au/science/k2/moments/s1380836.htm

" Myth: You should never drink alcohol when you're taking antibiotics.

Truth: Do you even remember the first time you heard this one? Chances are you don't. This is a deep-rooted and often-perpetuated myth. But the fact is, there's no good reason to avoid alcohol when you're taking antibiotics.

SMEGMA,, Your wrong but perhaps I should have been more specific. I do drink with ordinary anti-biotics ( wide spectrum) but at the moment I am on a combination of wide spectrum and Metrogyl and as my docs said they JUST DON"T MIX NICE WITH ALCOHOL. "Things you must not do

Do not drink any alcohol while taking Metrogyl and for at least 24 hours after stopping treatment.

The use of alcohol may make you feel very sick, vomit, have stomach cramps, headaches and flushing.

The surgeon who visted me in hospital was a rather dry character and merely stated " you can drink if you want to ( wry smile), last time I looked it wasn't a police state and if you like you can stand in the middle of the road and wait for a truck.

Flagyl (generic name metronidazole) is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial and parasitic infections. Flagyl should never be taken with alcohol (ethanol), since the two can interact to cause serious side effects, including intense nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal cramps, flushing, and a racing heartbeat. In some cases, these side effects may even lead to heart or liver damage.

I promise you the warnings where of sufficient clarity and strength to get me through Christmas beer-less and also will continue into the New Year.
