There are good stories and I consider myself to be proof that you can meet a nice girl making a stupid choice at the moment. However, I've heard many stories from the wife of girls in her village who are married to more than one farang and a Thai. Met one young lady who was smoking hot but there was just something I did not like about her. Yes, a gogo girl, married to a Thai guy I met and also some farang from Germany I believe. 6k pounds leads me to believe he is getting fleeced and not by an over friendly farmer. I will also go as far to say that guys are not just stupid when it comes to Thai girls. One of my best friends dated, moved in together, married and divorced a girl in less than 1 year and 1/2. I asked him what his status is now and he said of his ex-wife "We are dating". WTF.

Thought I would resurrect this one as its over a year since I posted the dilemma. Happy to say that the house is built the wife is getting an education and my mate is traveling back and forth to his new home while “living the life.” What a lucky SOB! No trauma no shenanigans no trouble so it’s just as well I kept my comments to a few sober observations. I guess when it comes to women we will do what we will whatever the cost or outcome. Going back to LOS soon so maybe I’ll find one and get married? Or then again old habits die hard. Counting the days.

I'd love to know how many Baht / dollars ( US or otherwise) she got and also how many dates he recieved and at what price,,,  I heard many a good joke but THAT IS TRULY FUNNY.

An update on my friend and his ex girlfriend/wife/girlfriend. They dated for several months after she moved out. Returning from a weekend trip she told him that she truly hoped they could work things out and by the way "I've bought a house". I tried to explain to him that she was most likely NOT moving back in. In their divorce agreement she was to return the car that was financed in his name. He even took the car back one late night only to give it back weeks later. Five months after the divorce was final she returned the car after getting into an accident and causing many thousands of dollars worth of damage. She was a true classic alright and my friend just tagged along for the ride like a little puppy dog.

LS,, It could have been so so much worse,,, thank god he didn't live, work, in Australia and marry and have kids with an Australian mole. Lets start with 80% of your assets automatically hers and 32% of your GROSS wages payable as child support ( for the next 16-18 years).I joke you not,,, thems was the rules only a few years ago.
I'd say your mate got done,, but in true reality got off light for what could have happened.
Certainly makes 2k L/T 's look cheap when you think long-term.
