Sales is good...but one week you are the man and one week your waiting on a "pink slip!" maybe I am wrong but your guys end is pretty stable and not dependent on "how often the phone rings."
That was just a thing my cousin (the definition of a salesman) and a sales mate of mine and I made up while drinking and watching "A few Good Men" one night...
I will say this...in this world either you are selling something (whatever it may be) or are a bean counter...think about it!!!!
I just happen to be on the sales side and have always been...even in my nightclub owning days..I am fortunate enough to be born with a personality that draws people...I wish my waistline could say the same LOL!
Everyone must make a living and I respect that...I was just making a funny spin on that movie scene..and it is pretty funny

atl, this forum has become just too damn controversial...
You didn't catch my last line (quote from self: "I'd rather be a sales than a finance staff anyway" ) and my version was definitely not meant as an argument "against" your point of view or sales people in general or something... It just tickled me to look from another angle... It widens your horizon quite a bit... Did the other point of view tickle you as well? "très chic sales parties" and "secure your yearly bonus" was pretty mean he? I found this hilarious too...
I even wrote a translation of "ten golden rules" to a BG point of view... once
Believe me, I'm everything but a bean counter...
