back to pontificating (I like that word twd).
the forum has helped me a lot.
I met some interesting people.
I sublet my city office to 2 members.
I know where to produce sportswear.
I know where to get a decent bbj quicky.
I got introduced to the hiso club scene.
I don't get lost in chatuchak anymore.
and it will help me some more in the furure.
so, I am ready to give some back to the forum.
if somebody doesn't like somebodys post, well just ignore them.
I ignore most of smegmas posts...
BK and the founding members have done great. I am truly thankful.

That is what newbies do, because they also want to communicate. If they just wanted information they would buy a book.

bkkz placed a special thread for newbies to ask their questions and discuss about those topics.
But it has not stopped the birth of new threads having some / any / no value.
I myself have not read APEC threads / how good is the HTL X threads .
BUT I can say something about "Where-to-find-this-and-that-kind-of-sex/chicks/services"-threads.
Answer for those q's usually pops out by itself , all it takes is READING.
I know this , because my first post was a classical newbie question and I had kinda "hoo-ray , do You feel intelligent now"-feeling , when I found the answer about 5 mins later by myself.
(And being guilty myself , too , I do not use the heavy artillery on newbies , with exeption of woodheads.)
That's why I'd like to say for newbies , it's not that hard to find what You are looking for.
If it feels too hard , use approppriate thread.

this has become one of the more interesting threads.
i have to bow down to ABC for his long post concerning the subject.
many intelligent points and while he supports many of the things the 'senior' members say,he also has time for the 'newbies'.
i may be a bit bias here as ABC is one of my oldest and closest friends on the Forum.
but that is not to say he has not had his moments with me and said i was wrong at times.
i'm glad one of the 'oldies' seems to be coming back and posting more and more,i for one have missed his input the last few months.
it would be good to see people like Bigin,MrJoe,Chompoo,Bandit and Sauron back on board.

BTW ,
To all those who rant about Newbies starting new Threads without checking if the topic is already covered - Here is an example of a Newbie who has taken the trouble :-
Larsson is a very new member ( joined on Sept. 23rd. of this year with only one post ). He had something to say on the Good Old Days .
Does he start a new Thread ?
No , he searches deep into the Forum archives , finds a Thread on the subject where the last post was made IN DECEMBER 2002 ( i.e. 10 months ago ) and he posts on that Thread .
Lets hear it for a Newbie who has started off on the right foot .

Wow, that means that before, things were really good.
Mr. ABC quoted BK...Those fights, flames, meaningless posts and unrelated threads are a waste of bandwidth and costs money, so they end as of today, May 25th 2003.
So things were bad old days! Maybe they are good now?
Mr. ABC said..."So, if you or others can't play by the rules, then I suggest you just leave."
And just who are you talking about really Mr. ABC, those really bad dudes before May 25, 2003 when Mr BK instituted the rules, or the really bad dudes you are sure exist, after the rules were put in place.
Our memories are selective aren't they.
Especially when we wish to be right. Or is that wrong?

Well I am happy about that, since the opinion of so many members is so different, rules permitting of course.

After removing the levels , it's hard for a newbie to know who is who , some newcomers taking "Who the f*** You are to critisize MY words"  , even if he has been giving a bullshit advises based on one or two visits in LOS.
Others have found it comfortable to ambush anybody who is giving a mildest reason to do so. 
Informativity of this kind of action : none.
It eats the idea of this board.
Perhaps there is one reason , why certain members are having a break.
And fastmover is right , why the f*** we need flaming for.
