The Last Samurai movie:
Samurai Katsumoto {played by Ken Watanabe} and Captain Nathan Algren {played by Tom Cruise} are on a hill surveying the advance of the Japanese Army, sent by the Emperor, to destroy the last Samurai's enclave. They both ready themselves for the final battle, the last stand. They know that the Japanese Army is too powerful for them and armed with the latest weapons.
A sombre Katsumoto says: "Do you believe a man can change his destiny?"
Looking intensely at the horizon, Algren replies: "I believe a man does what he can... until his destiny is revealed to him!"
