Arrive BKK on 11 Nov and depart for Cambodia on the 12th. I'll spend a few days in PP, then up to SR to see the Temples.
I'm coming back to LOS and will meander about ending up in Pattaya on the 21st at the latest.
I've reserved a room at the Dynesty Inn on soi 13 and plan on spending time on Walking street and soi 6 & 7.

Going from PP to SR,, are you taking the boat???
If yes make SURE long pants, wide brimmed hat and LOTS of suncream, I witnessed what was left of a Euro lady who didn't take these measures,,,what a painfull mess she was in.
Do the boat trip on the "great lake" lots of interesting small lake-side huts mostly inhabited by Vietnamese, they'll come paddling by in this little plastic wash tubs, amazing balance. Remeber just say Chow Em, tien toi la Shamas. hello my name Shamas, will bring a big smile hearing their native tongue from a farang.

Bus is ok, but if you want to save a few hours and don't mind spending a few dollars more,, go to market square, and hook up with some other farang and share taxi,,, Taxi normally US$50, divide by 4 is,,,well I guess you can count.
Air-con much smoother and faster ride,, few beers in the back seat and all's happy:")
If I can hunt up the number I will pass on name, phone etc of the tour guide I had, excellent man, English 95% perfect, easy going and not expensive.
By the way, you won't have trouble finding decent,,,, ahh lets say companionship in SR, just take a,,,,forgot name but a motor bike with a tuuk tuuk like cart on the back, just tell the guy you want disco and beautiful women. Also remember you are not in Thailand, prices should be much cheaper for everything but usually paid in US$. If you haven't booked accomodation in SR, I recommend Orange hotel, nice Euro owner, good price.

Dude there isn't a taxi in all of cambodia that will haul me and the numbers u quote. Wish I was that small.
It's a great idea and thanks so very much for it. I want to go overland, the boat just didn't rock me and I didn't think about a taxi.
Matter of fact I can't remember seeing a taxi in PP. I better wake up this trip.
