When I first came to LOS I could go to a massage parlor (Nadia or Ratachada Hand Massage for instance) and get a real massage, often with a happy ending of some sort, but sometimes without. Now I come here and everything seems to just be a mere warm-up to the main event now. The actual massage has become little more than a form of foreplay and the techniques and general proficiency are all much lower than I remember. Sure, I can always just go to a full service spa and pay Western-level cash but I can also do that at home and simply forgo the trip altogether. Based on the FR's being posted these days I get the feeling I'm not alone in my disappointment. So, are there any recommendations for a truly good massage from a fairly attractive masseuse that is still likely to be followed by some sort of happy ending should I chose to pursue it? I miss the old days when the happy ending was just an ending to an otherwise legitimate massage and not the sole reason for showing up.

The trick is very simple, when you go to one of these oil massage establishments, choose only the girls that can perform Thai Traditional Massage as well as Oil Massage. Those girls that can only do Oil Massage will most probably not have the necessary skills to provide a good massage. I have had pretty good success using this simple system.

In addition, there are some "oily girls" working at some of the Oil places that do a very, very good massage. Most do not, though, most of the girls at Tulip/Baron/Angel do not have massage as their #1 skill. 
As far as a great massage and more, one name that comes to mind is PEE. She is well trained and is very strong and can do a great oil or Thai massage. She's happy to do just the massage then a happy ending, or massage and full sex. BK, is she at Baron or Angel?? I forget.
Her sister is Rin and is a good choice for massage and more too.

I concur. If there is one problem with Thailand in this regard it is that the powers that be do not require the girls to study anatomy or musculoskeletal [did I spell that right?] systems. There's no education and no certification for the oliy. Zilch.
And understand this, I'm a long time fan of the deep-tissue school of therapeutic massage, so trust me when I say I really looked far and wide to find some decent talent offering oilys. Alas, all that effort and all I had to show for it were a multitude of sensual caresses followed with happy endings.... 
Never the oil massage I paid for! Boo hoo!
Oh well, maybe it wasn't so traumatic after all.... 
In the end though, I came to realize the massage gals equate an oliy to what is essentially a full body caress in their minds. I opt now for TTM's always.
Until the Thai authorities see the lack of certification and training as an issue it won't likely change either.

I mentioned this in my Activity Report for my visit to BKK last month.
Teen Massage (Soi 33) has given me an excellent Thai/Balls Massage with the option for what they call "Special Service".
Both of the masseuse I have used there ( my favorate Sa and her alternate May) have provided a TTM that is comperable to that of any legitimate TTM Massage that I have received anywhere in the world.
I highly recommend these two masseuse...

Thanks for the suggestions fellas. I probably should have mentioned that I already knew about the Thai traditional vs. oil massage issues before my first visit thanks to a friend and of course this forum. My disappointment comes not just from the oil massage girls but also the Thai traditional massage girls as well. Both have been giving me a mild half-assed massage instead of the skillfully administered muscle-softening, back-cracking, limb pulling procedure I used to get just a few years ago. The sex has actually improved a bit over the last visit, but even bad sex isn't all that bad while a bad massage is just plain worthless in my view. Maybe it's time to start asking the papasan for suggestions instead of just voting with my dick. If only I still had a way to contact my first two favorites. Oh man, I'd kill for another massage from either one of them.
