The always amiable gentleman monger and fellow forum brother cocoroso and I got together for a very enjoyable RT last night, here in Seoul.
We rendezvoused at one of the larger wholesale fish markets in the city at just past eight and immediately went about selecting a lovely 1.2kg lobster, a giant king crab, a couple of sea cucumbers, and a small smattering of abalone for good measure. And given that the abalone went down raw, I think smattering would be the correct term in this instance.  Mighty yummy that 
Immediately thereafter, we marched this treasure of briny goodness to a nearby restaurant, passed it to our matron ajumma hosts, tossed our shoes into bags, and set about finding a low table set out of the way enough to discretely share the tag-and-release stories mongers such as us are prone to collect. Uh-huh! 
And then, in order to loosen our tungues a wee bit, and to wash down our treasures of the brine, we next ordered one empty tea pot, a bottle of soju and another of Baek-se-ju.  Brother cocoroso, took charge then and proceeded to pour both bottles into the pot thence stirred up a hearty pot of o-sip-se-ju.  So smooth on the palate it was. Yum!
After a toast! or two  there we were, vicariously back in the land of Bangers regaling stories from our most recent f***ations into the LoS.  and reminiscing of puyings and forays past.
Raw abalone appetizer went down like 
Yes sirs, for me at least, the best part of the night came when I invoked the names and shared the memories and outstanding accomplishments with Brother cocoroso of such senior members as the living legends amongst us. In my case that distinction would most notably go to our own Packripper & Dr.Love 
Speaking (if I may) for Brother cocoroso, I think he confers the same status on brothers Juniper & Broken Leg. But many more amongst your storied names and exploits shared our table last night. Yes, indeed- Colorado Guy, Daffy Duck, BK, Mel Gibson, LocalYokal and more  all imbibed in spirit at our table, last night, here in Seoul.
Turns out this year was Brother cocoroso's first visit during Songkran. And, from the way he told it, I think the amount of baptismal waters he endured there in Pattaya took even he by surprise.  Ha! Live and learn, brother!  Live and learn.
Next up were stories of my foray into town last week.  Trouble is there's a new stride in monger Skip's gate. And it goes like this: 
 
Then lo and behold, just as the clock came to strike 22:55, it was time to scurry off just in time to catch the last metro home. 
And there you have it, our RT report from Seoul. Let me tell you: 'twas a real pleasure invoking our combined 11+ years of memories of all you fellas last night, I guaranty.
